Metering Pumps – Solving the power consumption issue

The new solenoid-driven diaphragm dosing pumps, MAGDOS LT, developed by Lutz-Jesco GmbH, Germany, solves a well–known and common problem in metering technology: uncontrolled power consumption with all its negative side effects. The internal state-of-the-art microprocessor automatically controls the energy consumption for the pump - electric/drive according to the required back pressure.

The advantages of this enhanced technology are obvious, besides the reduction of energy consumption, both noise level and excess heat - usually generated by the solenoid - are automatically kept to the minimum necessary for the requested operation. Longer lifetime and higher resistance levels are the consequence: The MAGDOS LT can, depending on the material used, be operated in temperatures up to 113ºF (45ºC). The overall effect is the high cost efficiency of the MAGDOS LT. The pump is in particular suitable for water-/wastewater treatment and industrial processes. However, due to features like the manual and step-less stroke length adjustment with a 5:1 turndown ratio, manual speed control to set the pump at 25%, 50%, and 100% of its maximum stroke frequency, and adjustable overload protection for various pressure levels, the pump is suitable for virtually all requirements of home water supply. Double-ball valves hereby ensure highest accuracy even at the smallest flow rates.

The MAGDOS LT has a capacity range from 0.03 to 4.49 gph, with pressures up to 232 psig. The pump is, due to the hermetically sealed design, suitable for both toxic and aggressive media.
